How to Convert PNG or JPG into PDF file without white borders

After doing several attempts, Finally I found how to convert JPG or PNG file into PDF precisely. I did it when I edit cover book in JPG file and want to convert it back to PDF. This is especially important when I want to print it in booklet form when PDF reader (such as Adobe or Foxit Reader) provide us with booklet printing enable. I have some program like cute PDF or PDF editor. I run them in my Ubuntu Lucid. However, eventhough they nicely convert my picture into PDF format, they still leave some white space in both sides of my picture. Nevertheless, I finally found that Gscan2PDF did it precisely without leaving white borders on both sides.

In this tutorial I will provide 2 steps how to do it.
- In first section I will guide you how to install it.
- The second section, I will show you how to convert your file.

You may be requested to fill in a password, just type your password.

add this: deb http://gscan2pdf.sourceforge.net/download/debian binary

Then you need to update the source lists by typing: sudo apt-get update

After updating, now install the Gscan2PDF by typing this command: sudo apt-get install gscan2pdf
